Review on Adams Clay 100G Detailing Bars by Paul Walters

Revainrating 4 out of 5

High quality. ultra thin can be too thin. Maybe better for light work or maintenance

So I ordered this tone instead of the much cheaper regular Chinese tone based on the brand name. The quality seems to be better, but it may not be for everyone.1. Ultra thin - as the description says ultra thin. And I think if your car needs durable tone then it's probably too good. I have a few water stains that didn't come out with this tone. Usually most of the other clays I've used have removed water stains. I think if you have to work with heavy clay, use a different clay. But if you need to touch up and apply clay on a regular basis, then I think this clay will do. 2. The clay got too wet and started to crumble - I used a homemade clay lubricant (car wash and water) that I usually use with other clay. This time the clay got very wet and began to unravel a little, becoming very soft. And I don't think he was doing his job well when he got so soft and started breaking down. Other clays do not. After drying everything was back to normal. I think this is a higher quality and finer clay than normal Chinese clay. And I think if your toning needs are light and you just need to maintain the color, that would be great. But if you need a deep clay clean, choose another.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Has problems
