Review on 🏍️ Pacewalker Universal Motorcycle 7/8" 22mm Handlebar Brake Master Cylinder Clutch Lever Set for Honda Kawasaki Suzuki Yamaha by Brian Malith

If you value your stopping power, DO NOT use the master cylinder.

Decided to give it a try and see how good they are. I started with a clutch lever/cable that isn't too bad to install and I've been relatively happy with the results; feel good and look good. I wanted black levers instead of the long factory chrome levers on my '09 SV650. So far, so good. Yes, it required a little modification to fit the clutch lever plug into the clamps (I cut them off a bit so I could plug them in). Now the most interesting. Spent some time replacing the brake lever/master cylinder and all that stuff. I bled the brakes for some time and found that they are still quite loose. I used to bleed brakes on cars but not bikes so I did a little research and followed the instructions in the manual. Still spongy again, but I've been doing this for a while so I assumed that's how it should be. Well for a few days I couldn't stand the feeling of those spongy flies and it was very unsafe. You really have to push it that hard to get engaged. I tried pumping it again and went for a walk that same day. Not better. A couple of buddies tried the bike out and told me how weird/bad the brakes are. You can even see the plunger retract very slowly after you let go of the lever. Just a terrible feeling and I've never felt so unsafe with my brakes. Long story short, I went home and replaced the master cylinder back with the factory master cylinder and just replaced the black lever. I bled the brakes (same process) and immediately felt the difference. Like before, I had a hard point on the lever. Stops as good as ever. At least I could use it with just the clutch and brake lever. I would advise NOT to use this master cylinder unless you require more work to remove it later. TL; DR - master cylinder is junk, sticky and spongy levers. The clutch side works well. Please use the OEM master cylinder and only replace the lever itself.
