Volumetric Vessel Veritable Vim

I bought this through Prime 3 days before my first trip to the Caribbean. He arrived on time. For the price it couldn't be better. I think it was about $10, much cheaper than other snorkeling gear bags that were $35 and up. My main selling point for this bag was the price and constant feedback that it could hold two sets of gear. As a single parent who loves to travel with my child, I carry everything with me 95% of the time, so the more bags I can pack the better. After much research I have decided to forgo my usual blue color and buy all my snorkeling gear in bright yellow so that it is easier to spot when it falls into the water. This bag, although fluorescent yellow, still went very well with my outfit. Pros: It holds a lot of things. I ended up using this as my daily bag while staying in St Thomas and St Croix and here is a list of what I stuffed into this thing: Mares Superchannel Full Foot fins size 11/12, Mares Ergo Dry Tube, Tusa Freedom HD mask in case, complete US Divers baby snorkel for my daughters in mesh pouch, 3 oz tube of rubber sunscreen, men's Oakley Rash Guard t-shirt, children's Rash Guard t-shirt, waterproof Nikon Coolpix -Camera, two large, thick beach towels, a few cans of soda, a bag of seashells, a change of clothes for my daughter (age 6) and a few other small items. This bag could fit more, not much more, but I could fit more. When stuffed, the Super Channels' heel can stick out of the top depending on how they sit in the pocket. With a relatively empty bag, she had no problem accommodating the super channels with a few inches of headroom. - Has a plastic D ring at the top where the strap attaches. It was great for securing my shatterproof sunglass case which also held my extra camera cards and stuff I didn't want to get wet or covered in sand. - Has drawstrings on either side of the opening and a snap button closure on either side. The hole opens quite wide, the full diameter of the sac iirc. Cons - Not as many cons as nice to have - External pocket or two. One is big enough to carry a mask in a pocket and the other is big enough for things like phone, keys, camera etc. It can be waterproof or at least durable to keep sand out as much as possible. - Second shoulder strap. While it wasn't too bad just having one, with one you still have moments where you lean or bend and the bag slips off your shoulder. - Grab it, but make the D-ring out of metal. The plastic felt thick and strong, but I could imagine situations where it might break. Separate loop at top for hanging on a hook. So after 10 days stuff it up, unpack it and throw it on boats, floors, cars and beaches. and parking etc, it still looks pretty new, no rips, tears or signs of wear and I'm definitely happy with it for $16 including shipping and postage.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
