HOLD AND READ! This radio may work and have all advertised features in Europe or Asia but not in the US 2014 Toyota Corolla L. It is recommended that you research cheaper head units before purchasing. We got caught out by adverts and numerous youtube videos making this radio what it is not. Before anyone says YES, we triple checked everything to make sure it's connected properly. We read all the information about it before buying. All statements and videos made us believe that the bells and whistles will work on the 2014 Toyota Corolla. You don't! The only reason I didn't return this thing was because I put in the many hours of work, modifications, and hassle it took to get it installed and running (which we were able to get working). Revain's first order was mysteriously "LOST" in the mail. Revain got our money back (great! Thanks Revain) and I ordered another one (in hindsight I should have spent the money on something else but my son really wanted this one). My son asked me to just leave it installed as he was concerned we might damage the car if we tried to remove it to send it back. I am still annoyed at the look of disappointment on my son's face as we expected so much more from this item and it was not delivered. Pros: 1. Looks good.2. Produces good sound with built-in amplifier/equalizer3. WIRED "Zlink" which they call "Carplay" works4. Radio works 5. Video playback works but is heavily buffered even on a 5G.4 network. Big touch screen Cons: 1. Costs over $500 just for a 10.2 inch touch screen and built-in amp 2. Dasaita website is totally useless. There is no help page. No software updates. You can waste your time emailing or trying to call (we did both and got no response to both). I'm still looking for ways to update/upgrade the firmware. I found several forums on the internet but all about other radio tape recorders.3. Does not come installed with all advertised apps.4. Many of the apps/features advertised are useless and most installed AREs will not work on most cars unless you spend more money to modify/upgrade the car yourself. Example: CARBUS malfunctions - no door turn signal, although the car has a turn signal. There is no TPMS although the car has a TPMS light. Show climate settings - #5. 'easyconnection' app not installed - searched Play Store and couldn't find it to install (US) 6. No additional launchers - YouTube installation videos don't mention it (WITH MANY OTHER THINGS ABOUT THIS RADIO) - everyone talks about cool additional launchers, but none of them come pre-installed, and the ones on the play store cost money after a trial. 7. The frame had to be "CUT" to fit back into the car - destroying the quality of a $500+ item is FUNNY. For the price, the company could include a few extra frames in the box for use with the radio.8. "Wirelessโ Carplay (ZLink) is a misstatement. An hour of unsuccessful connection attempts, we connected the USB cable to the phone and immediately started working. So Wireless for Iphone is a lie. After installing it, we started seeing other people writing about some kind of Carplay key that wasn't provided. Of course, you could give DASAITA more of your hard-earned money and buy one to own the WIRELESS Carplay.9. 5G Network Internet Connection - Tried to download and install updates from Play Store for over a week. Only two of the eight original updates were installed. Remind me exactly what the premium on this PX6 processor was supposed to make faster?!. * I mentioned that we still can't find a way to update the firmware. You need to DOWNLOAD it to a USB device and install it manually. But we have no idea where to find and download it for this radio. I'm sorry to trust some "users" forum links. Where is the DASAITA download site?10. Bluetooth is useless. Connected but useless after Zlink WIRED worked.11. The aftermarket rear view camera could not be displayed on the screen. All wiring diagrams, voltage and triggers followed, everything was fine. The main device does not recognize and display the video. Swapped all the VGA to video connectors on the main unit and nobody did anything. In any case, I think most of you reading this will get the point. GENERAL - NOT RECOMMENDED. Should be one star but I only gave it two stars because it looks good and has a built in amp/eq. If you're rich and love throwing away almost $600 then go for it. The only thing we got out of throwing away my hard earned money was a lot of frustration and a large touchscreen. We used to have radio and Bluetooth capabilities as standard radios, as well as wired capabilities. We could buy an OEM upgrade from Toyota with a touchscreen for a third of the price (we should have followed my initial intuition). Think carefully before buying this head unit or anything like it.
