I bought these to be strictly house shoes and I didn't want to pay much. An initial concern would be that they would be too bright red like the pictures look. They arrived and have a tinge of maroon (kinda like U of South Carolina red). The next thing I noticed was the sole being much more firm than I was expecting almost like a wood board feeling. That took a little of getting used to but after a week I appreciate the firmness. I've had memory foam slippers in the past and they immediately crushed due to the softness and they weren't very comfortable. Living in Wisconsin I wanted slippers that would keep my feet warm when it's cold out (without sweating) and staying cool in warmer weather. They are felt lined and are comfortable on the feet. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. I wouldn't pay more than $33 though.
