This blender was a replacement for the Cuisinart I bought from Costco which had all the bells and whistles and cost more than double. When it broke after a few years of use (and this was my second) I decided I would just buy a good no frills blender. I received it and I love it. I use it to make pudding, mushy peas and some drinks and it's a really good blender. I was surprised at how much better it does its job than my Cuisinart! I like the top spout as my old one sometimes had a dirty spout spilling out of the corner. I owned this for a while. I don't like reviews from people who make it right out of the box. I like to use the product for a while to test it. This one definitely passed.
