Effective. I don't know if they are airtight as I don't pour liquids into them. They stand well surrounded by ice packs and keep cold food cold because they are made of steel. What I do know is that they hold up very well, sandwiches and pieces of lettuce (tomatoes) don't get crushed and peel very easily. I recommend them to anyone who sees my social media feed. INQUIRY: I'm asking LunchBots to consider making small rectangular stainless steel robots - both top and bottom - that are separate like UNO's. Make these stainless steel snacks about 4.5 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 2 inches high. Lunch boxes for children as round snack containers. It never hurts to ask, right? Overall I am very satisfied with this product!
