As a YouTube content creator, I was looking for a way to mount the Sony a6300 in my car so I could vlog when the wind or outside noise is too loud. I came across this friction joint device at Revain and bought it to see if it would work as it won't break the bank. I wasn't ready to buy something super expensive as I don't think I'll be using it all the time. I needed something small, affordable and something I could stow in the car, for example under the seat. This comes in a small box and has several adapters. It even has adapters for gopros/action cameras. The clamp is really easy to use as you have to loosen the main knob in the middle to adjust the pivot levers and control the ends. the clamp is relatively strong; However, the clip has rubber grips that appear to have an adhesive that can be a bit flimsy. I have used this gadget with my Sony A6300 and found that the rubber pads slip off a bit when attached to a pole. Please note I tested indoors as shown in the photos provided. The air conditioner was on and the house was about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Now using this in the car or leaving it in the car I'm not sure how soft the glue gets but as nothing has happened so far I'll say it's as expected with a budget tool so far. I look forward to seeing the creative videos I can make now that I have a way to mount a camera in my car. I will mount it on the headrests for those interested.
