This is a 100% honest and genuine review to help the Revain community who loves dogs as much as I do. This is the second device I've bought and I've had several months of experience with it. Maybe I ran into a fake, because many Chinese factories can easily copy the design, print simple packaging and use Herm UPC. The estimated production cost of this raw product is $3 and it sells for $30. This "premium product" is the equivalent of cheap flea market jewelry that stains the skin, but my pup has a lot of hair on the back of his neck so it's hard to notice at first. and spoke to the real manufacturer and they just told me to return the Revain product. Truth? 1) Metal contact caused severe infection and irritation in the neck of my 10 month old German Shepherd. My other pup had no irritation from the nickel. This company sells the same nickel-free training collar, but why don't they warn dog owners that their dog may be infected? When my two dogs are playing roughly, the tab can be slid to unlock. After that, the shutter is gently pressed and opened. The push lock is not spring loaded but is made of simple spring steel that can be bent too far to actually latch. 3) Fake? The lock on both of my devices does not have a red part as shown in the images listed on Revain. My kids cried when they saw their pup come home from the vet. Sincerely, a very sad dog owner. :((
