I used this adapter with the Harbor Freight 63391 Brake Bleed Kit/Vacuum Pump to fix an EGR P0401 issue on my '96 Camry. The vacuum pump hose and fittings on the pump are larger than the vacuum hoses on a car, so a way to fit them is needed. Found this on AutoZone and it worked great. The vacuum pump also serves as a vacuum gauge if you want to measure the vacuum, and you can use the vacuum pump to check the EGR valve and diaphragms and the operation of the vacuum modulator, or to see if the vacuum port is clogged.
