These pens have an excellent graphite colour. If you're trying to shade, you can either do it by layering or by changing the speed of the pen on the paper. (slower = darker, faster = lighter) That being said, feathering and feathering are significant on paper not seen on similar liners/pens. Moving the pen quickly can help avoid leakage, but bleeding is still a problem. Also, I wouldn't recommend using them for watercolor painting as they won't stand up to a wet brush even after drying for 72 hours. .
