I bought a cheaper light strip for my son's room. believing he can outgrow it, and then GE plus that expansion for another room. In hindsight, the other one was a lot easier to install. Also much cheaper, especially since she did not have to extend. This strip is very thick and strong so it will likely last a long time, but the stickiness isn't great. Also, all the adhesive strips are separate, so you have to peel off each section one by one, which is a lot of hassle. On the other strip, the entire strip could be peeled off at once. And since this one isn't very sticky and quite heavy, it was difficult to attach it to the ceiling. Remember that you need an app to change colors and other things that you need a phone and wifi for. Looking back, I wish I had a remote control, not an app. It's distressing.
