Purchased this product to replace the stock navigation unit in a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ and I am quite happy with the result. Specifically, I would like to mention this unit does exactly what I want it to do. Sure, a couple of things I don't like but the cost savings alone preclude me from worrying about them.As Chevy owners know, the stock radio for the Silverado for 2007-2012 (others as well) has built in navigation that is powered by a CD rom. Unfortunately, they stopped distributing new versions of the cd and the latest edition that would work in my radio was still 8 years old and did not have any of the newer locations in the 2 metro areas where I drive. Thus the need for a new GPS system.Guess what? Yep, this radio has GPS. In fact, it pretty much has ANY android based GPS app you want to install from Google but the built in GPS app (iGo Navigation) is great. So, use what you want. The android apps and features work as you would expect. Backup camera, video input and output etc. Everything they say it claims to do in the product write up. It does and does well. The sound? Well, it sounds really good in my truck and with the newer audio specification and technology like DSP, I am able to dial in the sound to my taste. That said, in some of the other reviews I found some noted the audio / volume went from very low to very high with a single click of the knob, that there wasn't much room in between. During my purchase I kind of overlooked it and figured I'd see for myself. Sure enough I had a similar issue but digging into it, I found the volume controls were a bit confusing. The radio itself has a volume knob as well as a slider using the touch input. Additionally, there are 2 locations in the "settings" app that fine tunes volume and it wasn't until I found these "deeper settings" that I was able to adjust the volume for media, navigation prompts etc all separately. This is important. Dig through your settings as there are many nested options that allow you to really fine tune the radio. Again, if you have the out of the box audio loudness some folks have, just go into the settings app and look for the sound and volume settings and adjust there.A word of warning on the install. When you remove the faux wood grain plastic bezel around the radio, please take your time with the clips. The radio comes with some bezel/trim tools which will work if you are patient. In my case I found the bezel was very tight when I first took it off. Just take your time and work your way around the clips slowly. Note: after install I removed the bezel again to check n the wireless antenna positioning and the bezel came off quite easily the second time around.Speaking of the wireless antenna connection, I am not completely happy with how short the wire is and as a result, I am not able to really dial in the positioning under the dash. If you are included, you might consider buying and extension for the wireless. More of an annoyance than anything else. There are 4 things I do not like about this purchase.1. a small round speaker is supplied with the unit that outputs your internal automobile sounds like the blinkers, emergency flashers, door chime etc. This speaker works best when its output is baffled slightly. Meaning I actually tucked it behind the wiring harness to alter the sound a bit. While the blinker still doesn't sound "stock" its quite easy to adjust to.2. the touch screen, while much better than the original stock touch screen in terms of responsiveness and clarity, does need a little getting used to as well. Since it does not have haptic feedback, controlling some of the finer operations like driving while adjusting the DSP takes a few times to get used to without taking the eyes off the road. So, would really like haptic feedback.3. The volume and tuning controls are not backlit light the rest of the button controls.4. The voice microphone does not integrate with the existing voice microphone built into the Silverado above the drivers head at the top of the a-pillar and as a result, I had to wire a new mic through the dash. This is not an issue, just would have been cool for the MIC to be as plug and play as the rest of the radio. Some random things I DO like.1. Cost. literally saves a thousand dollars over buying a proprietary GPS radio and loses NONE of the functionality you would expect out of a $1000 radio.2. Ease of install. When i say easy I mean it. Watch the video.3. Can change the led colors on the face of the radio to match the existing interior lighting scheme. When the radio was first turned on, it was set to backlight "red" but with some quick adjustments in the display settings I was able to match it to my other instrumentation color.4. Peace of mind knowing the GPS is never outdated.5. Bonanza of built in functionality as well as Google app store installed apps. Honestly, the functionality is limitless as a result.6. Honestly, you buy a radio nowadays for sound, bluetooth and phone operation. This all works as designed. Quite well.7. Ability to use an inline Apple car play adapter to add Carplay functionality. (Car play device does NOT come with the radio)I'll update this review as I've learned more about the operation of it. My truck is not my daily driver so I might be a few weeks for an update. All in all I am quite happy to buy and own a radio that completely solved my issues and saved me buckets of money. I gave it a 5 because it did everything it claimed to did and did it without issue. (please note, this radio does NOT integrate with Onstar so if you subscribe to that service, please call them for optional connection technology when replacing your radio.). Onstar DOES have an android app that you could download to the radio and leverage your GPS technology the same way but since I don't use it, I can't tell you how it works. All that said, I really don't know much about Onstar so I'll defer that to someone else.
