Review on πŸ”΅ Wireless Blue LED Mouse - Blue by Verbatim by Micheal Esquivel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very quiet! However, it is not ergonomic at all.

This keyboard is MUCH quieter than any other keyboard I've ever owned. I type out loud and needed something for work that wouldn't make me shy and annoy my co-workers. Of course, it still makes noise when you tap your fingers on the keys, depending on how you're typing. It's not really much of a fuss, though (maybe if you don't have long nails). I also really like that the multimedia keys are completely separate from the F-keys - I need permanent volume up/down, mute, and play/pause keys. I don't care about the other 4 media keys and would love to reprogram them, but that's a minor complaint. No Caps Lock or Num Lock (although windows pop up when status changes). It doesn't really bother me, but I know it bothers other people. There may be some quality control/shelf life issues. When my keyboard arrived the spacebar didn't hold up very well and I thought I'd have to return it, but upon closer inspection it was clear that one side of the spacebar had detached from the metal bar underneath. I squeezed it very hard from that side and it clicked back. However, the fact that it has come loose once makes me a little nervous about how long it will last. Wider keys like Enter, Shift, Return (etc.) really wobble. However, this doesn't create much additional noise other than my enter key and the left shift. The enter key is the loudest key, although I should note that the loudest key on this keyboard is still quieter than almost all the keys on my previous keyboard. It's just noticeably louder than the rest of the keyboard. I really wish this keyboard had a more ergonomic shape. I've gotten used to the curved shape of my last two keyboards, so it's taking a while to get used to these. I also wish there was a dedicated calculator key above the number pad (I'm really used to that from my last two keyboards) and that I had the option of a wired version (I don't want to mess with batteries and my keyboard doesn't need to move at all) . Overall, I prefer the silence to all other features, so I'll keep using this keyboard for now. Whenever I find my wrists hurting too much, I go back to looking for a quiet, ergonomic keyboard.
