The spring clips were not built into the lanterns - you have to fight them to secure them to the lantern. The cable connector, rocker connector, is junk and will not hold 14G cable. I had to use wire nuts to install. I actually bought these 8 inch lights by accident but decided to keep them and install them in the kitchens of homes I am remodeling for resale. I'm so glad that I only have two of the twelve lamps - I can just throw them away. Spring terminals are attached and plug-in wiring makes installation easy. installed about 40 Jullison lights and love the simplicity and look of the adjustable lights.
