Review on 🍼 Multi-Treat Baker for Babycakes by Brian Manfre

Works very well - Reusable - Somewhat labor intensive - Saves hot food

I've been looking for one of these pop music producers for a long time. This device is handy because you can use the different bowls to make pops, mini donuts or mini cupcakes. Now I feel like it's more of a fun gadget than a real baking tool. It's labor intensive but does a good job. Well done but the design is difficult for me. The cord is short, like most device cords these days, and feeds in from the left, which is a little inconvenient for me as a right-hander with a left-hand outlet. Even if you lift the lid to get the pops ready, the hot steam comes out quite intensely, so be careful not to burn your hands. The top gets very hot on the outside and you will need to use an oven mitt to access the unit as the lid is too hot to touch otherwise. Following the directions, lightly rub the pop-wells - both top and bottom - with vegetable oil to prevent sticking, although the shells will not stick. At first I only had to wipe the holes once and do 6 dozen more smacks. The unit heats up quickly and bakes pops very quickly - around 4-5 minutes per batch. Since the trays are very hot, I use a wooden stir stick to squeeze the fizz out of the well and then use silicone tongs to transfer it to the cooling surface. In fact, the flakes are so small they fell into my regular cooling bowl, so I used a colander instead. Pops cool down very quickly. I found I had to fill the holes about 3/4 full to get nice round pops. However, only the bottom part really looks that round and the top part looks rather pointed, which I didn't expect. Because it works so quickly, you'll have to stay at work until all your pops are out of the device - hence commenting becomes time-consuming. However, you don't have to preheat the device for each batch, which is great. It's nice that the kitchen doesn't get hot from the large oven, but I could just pop my regular baking sheets in the oven and cook it all in one go. I'm afraid my experience with pop icing is ongoing. You need to let the lollipops cool, then pop them in the freezer for 15 minutes, heat the coating in the microwave, and then dip the popsicles in the coating only to place them back in the freezer to set. I've tried chocolate cupcakes with German chocolate icing and it was a gooey mess. I am sure that practice will improve the result. If you spill some batter on the plates while filling the wells, do not try to wipe it clean while the batter is still runny. You can just scrape it off with a wooden stir stick after collecting those balls from the indentation. I plan to make corn tortillas that are served with chili. Overall I like the device, but handling packets of 12 clap at once can be a little tedious. The donuts and cupcakes should be a lot easier to make since I don't have to keep them in the fridge to insert my pop sticks. I think this device is a good buy as it offers versatility at a good price.
