Review on beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro Studio Headphone, DT1770 PRO (DT1770 PRO) by Adam Gray

I had DT 770 Pros 80 Ohm for several years. I was eyeing the upgrade to the 770s and was looking for another closed set. The main competitors were DT 1770 Pro and Massdrop 177x GO. I was able to try both and settled on 1770 instead of 177x (I paid about the same price for both so price wasn't an issue). Below I'm going to talk about some of the things I really like about the headphones. First, the 1770 Pro headphones are SUPER reliable and very high quality. As soon as you pick them up you will understand that they are cool. The 1770 was significantly more powerful than the 177x, so it was easy to understand. The 1770 also comes with a nice carrying case for the headphones, which was a big selling point for me. The case contains headphones, an extra pair of ear pads (leather and suede) and cables (coiled and straight) that are not attached. Fixed cables were a big problem for the 770 Pros. The sound quality is amazing. I know some people don't like the sound but I like the sound with bass and when I compare it to 177x it comes out on top in my mind (or ears). Finally consolation - they are here to SHINE. Beyerdynamic is known for its comfort and the 1770 Pro is no exception. I wear them more than 6 hours a day with no problem (thanks WFH). I think comfort is underestimated when looking for headphones and thankfully they don't skimp on it. In short, these are great headphones. Coming from the 770 Pro, it's a worthy successor. Very good workmanship, great sound, very comfortable. Would buy again.
