This is a specialty item for use with the Valterra valve assembly. Most black and gray RV cisterns usually only have two wastegate manufacturers, Valterra and Bristol. Although they are very similar in size, they are not interchangeable. They are screwed but do not seal properly. So if you have a Valterra valve assembly you will need to purchase a Valterra slip flange. This flange is designed for very heavy duty applications and must be strong as the drain valve assemblies typically hang out from under the floor of the dwelling and bounce around as the dwelling moves.
