We bought a black bookcase from Ikea and like many Ikea stories there were errors in the instructions (the back panel was pinned upside down). We had a cardboard colored back, which I hated. I thought contact paper might make me love it again. AND I DO. Installation was SUPER EASY, fast and now looks very modern. The contact paper comes in a tube, there are some creases as you get closer to the end, but honestly, once installed, you can't tell. Adhesion is sticky and sticky, almost like duct tape. It was very easy to set up and keep pushing when I left. I didn't install it directly on the first try, which bothered me. I was able to take everything off and try again, no problem. It's also SUPER EASY to trim off the excess. I left the excess with the install and then I took a utility knife and cut off the excess and it cut like butter. Highly recommended for those DIY projects.
