Too long in Leathercraft

I was thrilled to find the "small" size rotating knife as I have small hands. However it arrived today and while the quality seems pretty good the shaft is too long and while I can adjust it to make it longer I can't make it shorter unless I want 1/4 "". cut from the shaft of the cradle with a dremel or other object. I really want the knife barrel to be 3/8-1/2" shorter. On the back fence. Stay tuned.
