This candle has a fresh scent, but it's not like a scented candle that just adds scent to the air - it actually removes it. As soon as the candle goes out, the fragrance quickly dissipates without leaving a trace. Highly recommended if you are preparing fish or other strong smelling foods - only remove these from your dining area as you do not want the flavor to affect the taste of your food. REMEMBER: As with any jar candle, it is very important that you let the candle burn long enough for the entire tip to melt. If you don't do this, the candle will melt the "tunnel" straight down and not burn all of the wax, effectively wasting 80% of the candle. See: candle tunneling
