I almost returned this candle and that would be a mistake. I didn't like its scent but I remembered a commenter saying it removes odors without leaving an odor so I decided to give it a try. EXACTLY THAT it does! Removes odors and leaves no inherent odor. Wonderful. I'll definitely grab another one and leave it in the kitchen.

I use gel for closets and a dog room so I wanted to try a candle from kitchen scents. Works very well and has the same subtle herbal scent as the gel and spray. It seems like it takes about 30 minutes to smell fishy smell in the evening than another 30 minutes in the morning to really clean the air. Also, I use a spray after all the dishes have been washed to pat them down. In general a good candle, I will buy more.

I got this when I lived in a tiny studio apartment and cooked almost anything which resulted in cooking odors in my sheets, clothes and even bath towels. This candle does exactly what is advertised. First you smell the candle itself, and a few minutes after lighting the smells will dissipate. The candle did what it promised, except it didn't mention it could kill your pets. I burned it 3 times. Each time my pomeranian (who is NOT prone to seizures) would have a large seizure that lasted almost 20 minutes. She would have died almost all 3 times. She had no seizures before or after. I believe it contains tea tree oil or something similar which is toxic to dogs and cats causing convulsions and death. ATTENTION if you love your furry friends.

This is an excellent product that meets the manufacturer's requirements and deserves five stars. I took off two stars for the packaging. If Fresh Wave cares about the environment, it seems like they should offer refill candles instead of forcing the customer to buy a new glass jar every time. It also makes economic sense because I would buy more candles as refills should be cheaper. Since I use mine very sparingly. This candle lasts so long that I take it to any room that has an odor I want to get rid of. I burn it until the smell is gone, then I blow out the candle. The candle almost burns out and the smell disappears! I'm talking about the smells of the kitchen, the bathroom, the garbage they forgot to take out, the smell of cigarettes, the musty room.
