You must purchase a patented product from Saris to get a threaded coupling pin that fits into the coupling bracket. Attach the lock to the clutch pin and use the wrench to ensure the lock is seated on the pin. A ride on paved/paved roads. The castle was lost upon return. My guess is that the road vibrations assessed shifted it and it fell down somewhere along the way. It is hoped that a different brand (smooth) hitch locking pin lock will work to lock the hitch/bike mount grub screw (Saris Freedom 2 bike). Very disappointed. I hope Saris/Revain sends a new lock. The lock will need to be replaced if other brands of hitch pin locks do not work.
