Trying to pull out the old glass case that has come loose from the (too well) connected base. It took a screwdriver and some disassembly to get the previous lamp base out. Overall, I'm still very happy with the bulb (at least the previous one) in terms of lifespan. It lasted almost 2 seasons and ran day and night. The day and night mode significantly affected the total number of mosquitoes during the night (interestingly, not so successfully during the day). It seemed important to use the device very early in the season - before the "mosquito avalanche" could develop.
