Review on Gigabyte Graphics Windforce Gv N166SGAMING OC 6GD by Stanislaw Gorka ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

I bought it on sale, cheaper by as much as 1000. I took to replace a weak card with 1 GB of memory from AMD. I work with large files in Photoshop and with video in Pinnacle 22. Computer on i7 (LGA1155). Memory 32 Gb 1333 MHz. Became smarter. I'm not going to overclock, so I can't say anything. Long body, but got into the system unit. I had to fiddle a little with the wires. Maybe I'll play around with the fan settings, but later, now it's not up to it. If you have a desire to purchase a relatively inexpensive video card (around 20 thousand), I definitely advise.

Pros
  • Fundamental stuff. Pretty quiet, but compared to the Asus radeon HD 5670 1 GB, the fans are noisier (30 dB in the room, 42 dB near the computer), for which I took off one star. Half would be better, but it doesn't work. Supports CUDA. For me, this is a big plus. The beautiful logo shimmers in the dark, but it is not visible behind the closed blank sidewall. Temperature 49-51°C. The case has 3 fans for intake and exhaust. Satisfied. I'm not going to return. I hope that will last at least 36 months of warranty.
Cons
  • A little noisy, but this is critical only when dubbing videos. I think the soundproofing problem can be solved. But the fact that NVIDIA no longer supports 32-bit Windows was an unpleasant surprise for me. Nowhere is it written about this (it is written on the forums; the last supposedly working driver found on the network did not start.) I had Win 7 x64 and x86 installed on my machine. The result is that you have to sell a good but somewhat outdated SCSII scanner that works with wide and X-ray film.
