An external hard drive is good!

I noticed that my Lorex home video surveillance system motherboard has an extra SATA input, but I didn't want to risk wasting energy by simply disconnecting the SATA power cable. Fitting an extra hard drive into the DVR body and using it as an extra power source did the trick! This included more than enough cable options to get me started at a great price.
