We sent it back. This was for someone with dementia and the regular remote had too many options (accidentally installed and deleted other people's DVR settings, accidentally bought pay-per-view material, etc.). We chose this one because it was the only remote we could find with a volume cap (an ongoing issue we wanted to fix). When it got here we found the keys weren't labeled, which we could have done with a labeling device. But the strange arrangement of the five favorite buttons completely confused him. The remote kept losing connection after we set it up and after we entered the codes at least 3 times in 24 hours it decided it wouldn't work if one of us had to fix it for him every morning and afternoon. He hated it and kept yelling that it wasn't working and telling us the other remote (which had 47 buttons that he never got to use properly) was easier and he wanted it back. This can work for children who gain the ability to function, but is not helpful for those who cannot learn easily.
