Okay I've always been an Otterbox fan so when I bought a new phone I went straight to Otterbox to get the protective case I always use. Here's the problem, and we discovered it when my wife dropped her phone (same phone, same case as mine). From top to bottom, the case sits above the screen. From side to side, the screen overhangs the edge of the case. If you drop this case and it lands perfectly flat, the phone is probably fine for the most part. If you drop your phone, like my wife did, and it falls sideways onto something, the screen will shatter. I didn't notice this design flaw when we bought the case and had to find out the hard way. The phone didn't fall on a rock or anything, it fell on the stairs and landed on the right side, right next to the power button, probably at a 45 degree angle, and the screen was completely shattered. As said, the screen is protected from top to bottom, it is extremely vulnerable from the side. The break was so severe that the screen didn't light up at all.
