Review on πŸ’» ELSRA USB Wired ControlPad PK-2068 - Black (23 Key, 2-Level Programmable, 2 USB Hub) for Windows - Numeric Keypad with Programming Capabilities by Tim Rushing

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The programming software is pretty bad, but the product itself is great.

Hardware: Excellent workmanship. USB hub works fine. It would be better if it were ergonomically sloped like a keyboard rather than flat, but the size and comfort make up for it. Adjustable keycaps are durable and stay in place even after prolonged use. Sturdy, you can see that the materials are of high quality. I'm already planning on buying a second one. The programming software is pretty terrible. No help or instructions so you just have to find out for yourself. It doesn't allow you to save different configurations as files, so forget it if you need multiple configurations. Also, you cannot enter the characters to be programmed; You have to manually press each one on the on-screen keyboard, which is very troublesome. Text isn't easy to edit either: if you want to change a character, you have to keep pressing the "Delete" button until you get to the character, and then all over the OSD again. Keyboard. They probably decided that you only want to program it once, so they didn't really bother to make the software user-friendly. UPDATED: After months of trying to use this for various projects and making my way through the trouble. mouse click programming I have to lower my rating to 2 stars. The software is just terrible. It's really hard to understand how to rate such a good product that comes with such horrible software. Once programmed the way you want it is great, but achieving it is the real challenge. I highly recommend this if you are sure you will only have to program it once.
