I have size 8 women's shoes and bought them size 6 for Big Kid. The length is great but I have wide feet and need velcro. made as loose as possible to allow my feet to fit in while wearing rugby socks. With socks I can wear them all day but as I recall from several pairs in the past it would take several days of wearing them to be comfortable in them all day barefoot. Since I've had them for about a day now I can wear them without socks for a few hours and it's fine, but longer and it can be quite uncomfortable. However, once you get used to them, they feel great and wearing other flip flops just won't help. I've always loved the quality of these flip flops and this pair doesn't seem any different from others I've had so expect them to last as long as the others. I usually wear them to practice/game and around the house when I feel I need a shoe and for that they have always been a great and durable shoe. The pair I wore in high school I wore a few days a week for about three years, and the pair I had in college lasted me all the way through and wore almost every day. Keep in mind that these are slides, so they're a bit flat. As for the slides I think they are good for arch support but if you are looking for a sandal with good arch support then these are probably not the sandals for you.
