Review on Northside Brille II Hiking Black Boys' Shoes: Durable and Stylish Footwear at Sandals by Chuck Chen

Great water shoes!

These shoes have endured 10 weeks of daily use at summer camp and abuse from my son. We've also used them on the beach and weekend kayaking/canoeing trips. They run about half a size too big from other reviews. Anticipating growth over the summer months I ordered a half size up and they fit great with limited legroom for growing. They have a cute design, dry quickly if you remove the sole after use, and are easy to clean with detergent. Or even dish soap. Can be air or tumble dried without damage. The rubber soles are a little worn, but after heavy use that's not surprising. The only problem is that they make them a bit slippery on some floors. Example: My son slipped while getting dressed in the changing room at camp. (He was fine except for the bruise) Even if you air dry them daily after use, they will stink after a few days. Remove soles, scrub and dry thoroughly, done. At this point (10th week of use) the toe rubber begins to separate from the nylon/mesh portion of the shoe. There's nothing a crazy glue can't fix. And don't let your kid walk around in those clothes all day, mine decided not to wear sneakers after swimming and ended up getting little scratches and little blisters on the sides of the feet. Most likely a combination of fabric, missing socks and wetness from the shoes themselves. His fault, not the shoes. Bottom Line: Great shoes, good deal that will stand up to the daily abuse of a 5 year old boy at day camp all summer long. Featured!
