Review on Red Kohler GP83064 2-Inch Toilet Flapper by Tom Lantz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thanks Revane and Google!

I have a Kohler toilet in my master bathroom which I inherited from the previous owner of the house when I bought my house 15 years ago and the water started flowing very slowly without a break. I decided to replace the damper but since Kohler is an expensive and proprietary brand that ignores all bathroom standards I couldn't find a single toilet damper that fits mine 😀 I actually bought 5 different dampers from local hardware stores but none of them fit like Kohler's. The flap was much wider. 😣I had no idea what model of Kohler toilet I had, but I managed to find the serial number on the toilet tank and when I googled it I was able to find out that it was a Kohler Rosarios one-piece toilet! this model in Revain and was able to find this cracker. Bingo! I also noticed that the price difference between the flush valve kit and just this damper was minimal so I decided to buy both to try replacing the entire flush valve kit first as my toilet is probably 20 years old, so who knows what else might wear them out any time soon. Replacing the flush valve turned out to be a much bigger project than I had envisioned so I was glad I got this flapper because it fit perfectly and it took me literally 5 minutes to swap out the flapper. and it stopped the leak! 10 out of 5 stars! This damper appears to fit many of the other Kohler toilets listed on the back of the box (see image). What a life saver πŸ˜† I hope this was helpful. and if so, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!
