I thought my new electric inflator would be easy to use on all valves with its threaded connector that always fits snugly. I immediately encountered problems. The screw-in barrel is solid brass, but it's narrow and difficult to grip and there are few threads to tighten, and even then you have to pull out the core to get to those threads. This makes it easy to mix up the threads and on some of my valves the threads were damaged and the inflator couldn't be used at all. I was looking to trade the inflator for a similar one with plastic knurling on the barrel, but one of the reviewers also noted issues with the screw connection. There is also the problem that quite a lot of air is lost when unscrewing the plug. This device completely eliminates this problem. It's nice and short and seems to work with all my valves except one that I had to custom repair. The only thing I can use for this is a gas station type fuel nozzle.
