They had been on my wish list for a while and when they came back in stock I ordered them straight away. Establishing milk production in the first few weeks of feeding a newborn can be difficult and sometimes very painful. These soothing therapeutic pillows are great and very easy to use. I'm not a fan of using them for a cooling effect, but that's only because I don't like cold things touching me. However, I tried it and it stays cool in place for a while. So if you're looking for some cooling relief, they'll definitely get the job done. I prefer to use them for easier warm-up and to keep the milk flowing. I put them in the microwave for about 2 minutes to get them nice and warm and I have to say I was very pleased when I put them back in. One time I just finished pumping and then used them for about 5-7 minutes. I started pumping again right after and actually pumped another half an ounce. If you're a nursing mom, you know how valuable even an extra half an ounce can be. I was very excited about that. The heating effect must have opened up some clogged milk ducts or simply aided milk flow. The pillows are very large, much larger than I expected but that's a good thing as they seem to be one size fits all. I always wear a C/D cup and the pads cover everything well and make sure all or most of the milk ducts are affected. As they are not washable to prevent leakage onto the pillows I have used the provided Bamboobies nursing pads between the pillow and my breasts and have had no problems. When I'm not using pillows I keep them in the plastic bag they came in. I don't want them to get dirty as they are not washable. Overall, I highly recommend these soothing therapy pillows. You definitely helped me.
