Review on Adapter Wireless Control Compatible Assistant by David Stewart

I generally prefer using Zigbee or Z-Wave smart devices with a SmartThings hub. This generally results in faster devices and more reliable performance. They, on the other hand, are WiFi and not directly compatible with SmartThings (unless you're using something like iFTTT, which I haven't tested yet). I bought them because I couldn't find an alternative to Zigbee or Z-Wave. and also. They were very affordable. They work, and that's where the good news ends (at least for me). Your range is short. I used two of these to light up the outdoor porch for Christmas to automatically turn the colored kaleidoscope lights on and off. My router is only 15 feet away from the one plugged into the outlet on my front door, so it only has to go through a wall near the source. but very often it fails to initialize. It took forever to set it up. Had to use the lamp next to the router to set it up and then plug it in from the outside. Sometimes it works, but it's unreliable. Very disappointing. I have other WiFi smart devices that, once configured, retain the timer settings even if the WiFi goes down. THAT IS NOT YOU! I set timers for these devices and when the router didn't have a clear connection the time settings did NOT work. Very disappointing. SO. Make sure you have a strong signal in your tests, otherwise don't expect the planning to work effectively. Also, make sure your router can handle multiple devices if you have a lot of them, otherwise you'll likely run into connection issues. I would like to recommend her. They serve their niche purpose and work BUT I've encountered issues that render them almost useless in my scenario. Setup wasn't as easy and quick as I expected, but it worked in the end. I love that they make such a big difference and would be a great device in the right environment. Unfortunately only recommended if you can't find anything better. If there was a similar device with Zigbee or Z-Wave and it was even more expensive, I would choose it next time. Maybe I just didn't check, or maybe something new has come up since my purchase. My recommendation would be to go for that instead!
