I've wanted one for a long time and the price was just about right to buy it so I got it. My first impression is that the magnet is strong enough to avoid walking/hiking, but will definitely break contact if caught on something. I've tried it on a few trail runs and it's been great! I will be using it on my CamelBak in Spartan races. So I will update the results at the end of my next race (in March). However, I assume everything should be fine.
