Plain and simple, this is what you need. It snaps in nicely and easily and you don't have to worry about it coming loose. I added an o-ring at the bottom for hiking as the tree branches grabbing the snorkel pulled it off my chest strap but once I did that it wasn't a problem. It's also good if you forget it's there and remove camelbak so it will come off on its own if you forget. I like it so much that I bought a few more for parts in case something happened to one.

I was satisfied with this product for about a month after I received it but it is just a huge waste of money. It doesn't pair well with coiled tubing, the clip that attaches to a backpack strap often falls off, and it's an overpriced fridge magnet. You'd be better off attaching a cheap carabiner to your shoulder strap and threading a tube through it. (that's what I do and honestly I don't even know where that magnet is) That's it. I like the idea of a magnetic hose clamp and maybe it's just that I've never had one and is taking some getting used to to. but it seems that unless I line it up almost perfectly, the magnets won't connect. In theory, it should be easier to use and faster than the old-school yoke holder, and it probably will be as I use it more often. I've only used the water bag about 6 times so far so I'm still getting used to it. I still like it, just not sure if it's worth the extra money right now.

I've wanted one for a long time and the price was just about right to buy it so I got it. My first impression is that the magnet is strong enough to avoid walking/hiking, but will definitely break contact if caught on something. I've tried it on a few trail runs and it's been great! Before this magnet I used these retractable badge laces to hold my camel bread tube. But the rope on these things wore out over time. This magnet holds the hose very well. It never fell apart for me. And after drinking, the tube can be easily put back on the magnet on the chest strap. Oh, and I use this for mountain biking, not hiking. Update 3 years later: I still love this magnet. I use this with my Camelbak MULE backpack to prevent the mouthpiece from jumping on my foot when I'm riding my road bike and going downhill.
