We didn't like the fit of the dog saddlebags. It's very light but with good ripstop and decent materials. However, our dog quite often hung in the undergrowth. There are also no straps to stabilize the load. The dog is hit by a weight that swings as it runs. If your dog isn't very active and you always stay right on the trail (or around town), this backpack is probably for you. But when we can, we let our dog run around a bit and he burrows through the trees and bushes, sniffing and looking for wildlife. We don't need such flexible and loose packaging.
