Review on 💽 Sony Micro Vault M-Series USB 2.0 Flash Drive - 32GB, White (USM32GM/W) by Brian West

The form factor is nice and I like that it has a highly visible activity indicator. But boy are you gonna look at that light for quite a while! This thing is SLOW, possibly the slowest USB drive I've ever had. Even some of my oldest flash drives perform this function. I bought it to be able to use a number of portable apps while still having enough storage space, but that's just not possible with this drive. It takes forever to launch the platform and trying to surf with Mozilla Firefox portable browser is excruciating due to slow hard drive speed. Scrolling down the webpage, I see that the activity indicator I mentioned starts blinking. and flash. and blink until the page is finally scrolled. However, my 2GB Patriot flash drive, the first flash drive I ever bought about 6 years ago, will handle a Mozilla portable drive no problem! So for storage it will do, but if you need high-speed access to a USB flash drive, look elsewhere. .
