Review on 5-Inch Medium Winco Cheese Slicer with Cast Aluminum Blade by Emily Morgan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Fell apart on first use

This food slicer had the weight and feel of a quality instrument. When it arrived I adjusted the position of the reel by tightening the brass knobs with a coin (the knobs have a slot for a screwdriver but I figured the coin would be easier to find). The first few parts worked fine, and then the whole device fell apart in my hands! I don't think I've ever done anything like this! Apparently the coppery inner discs snapped off their grub screws inside the roll and simply broke at both ends at once. It looked like cheap copper colored cast metal to me. I dumped it back in the box and sent it back to Revain. Save time and money and avoid it.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Not all fit
