I've been shooting Pentax for a long time (since 1976). A while back I bought a Pentax K-1 Mark II and my wife started using my Pentax KP and crop sensor lenses. So I needed a good and reliable backup camera for emergencies. The Nikon D5600 is very light so I can easily add it to my gear. I'm so impressed with this that I'm adding a modern Sigma 150-600mm lens for wildlife photography instead of buying the Pentax 150-450mm lens I was planning to buy. The polycarbonate cases are lightweight and small enough to take with you anywhere. I like my Pentax K-1-II full frame, but it's heavy. The D5600 also gives me the benefits of a wildlife framing sensor. So I'm fine. I can upgrade to the D7500 if everything goes as I hope it will. You will never know.
