Disappointed with adhesion

I was very disappointed with these little eye straps. I've only tried them once but I couldn't get them to stay. I've tried another brand before (wish I could remember which brand) and they worked great. Another brand came with a tiny can of some type of glue that I ran the tape through for better adhesion and they worked really well. I think that's what they need, but I'll try again to make sure it was just me.
