I've been looking for a new monitor for my MacBook Pro for a while and all the ones I've found that are at least 2560 pixels seem to be either too big or too expensive. This was perfect for a budget and reasonably priced. Now I've connected it to two computers: my MacBook Pro, which is just the family's home computer, and my super-cool Wacom Cintiq Companion. Along with a suitable DP-Mini-DP cable (see previous review), my Wacom tablet outputs full 2560 x 1440 resolutions with no problem. The screen rotates to portrait as well, but being a widescreen monitor it's a bit awkward in portrait unless you want to read the entire article without scrolling, then this will suffice. It also moves up and down well and easily and tilts very well too. I've programmed buttons on the front so I only have to double press one to toggle between my two sources (computers) and it works great. And most importantly - the color and quality of the pictures. I'm a professional photographer and illustrator (see my website: [.]) and was looking for a monitor that would give me more space to view my photos at 100% when editing in Adobe Lightroom, and this monitor works very well. Fine. Colors are very accurate (after calibrating my X-Rite system), blacks are deep, colors are vibrant, pixels are imperceptible to the naked eye. I'm very happy and have a lot of money left over for not buying a ridiculously expensive Apple monitor. I recommend this monitor.
