Review on πŸ’‘ Enhancing Bedroom Lighting with Homelek Equivalent Lumens Kelvin by Brian Krump

Recommended (with revision after 2 months of use)

I just replaced my entire 1000 sqft 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. Feet on it in warm white. They really are as bright as a standard 40 watt light bulb. The 3 lamps I put above each sink in the bathroom make as much light as the old 40 watts. So each bathroom used 120 watts and now only 9 watts. That is less than 10% of the capacity used so far. I have also incorporated them into all my floor and table lamps. The only place I won't use them is in the chandelier in my dining room. It's too dark for that, so I use a 6 watt warm white LED. All in all, by replacing all my regular light bulbs with LEDs, I've increased my total consumption from 20 x 800w bulbs to just 75w for the whole house. (Not that I ever turn on ALL the bulbs at once. But I can only squeeze out 75 watts if I want to, lol.) I'm excited to see how much my electric bill will drop. Even if it's $5 to $10 a month, that's money saved and lightbulbs pay for themselves in a few months. I really hope they last as many years as they claim. I live in Florida where my average monthly bill is around $165 per month. My checking account is only $130! And in the 80s/90s it was also a warm month. I'm so excited that they emit the same light as a fraction of the electricity they use! Consumption - 26.93 kWh/day Consumption a year ago - 35.25 kWh/day As you can see, my daily consumption has dropped by more than 20%! Less power consumption and much less heat generated by these lamps is a win-win situation. It is STRONGLY recommended to replace them with them throughout the house! EDIT: April 7, 2017 After a year of use, all of the lightbulbs (about 20 throughout the house) are still working great and my electric bill is consistently lower than before the installation. . still averages about $25 LESS per month than before, which is a big savings! That's $300 saved a year. Still highly recommended!
