I used a clear tear protector to repair vinyl seats. Over the years the vinyl on the wooden armrests has worn away. Most of the damaged area was behind the armrest and was therefore difficult to access. It required two people: one grabbed the seat and the second pair of hands used repair tape. The tricky part was the effectiveness of the glue - once glued it made the job a little more difficult. For damaged items, the damaged area is visible through the transparent tape. As mentioned the adhesive is excellent and I believe Tear-Aid will last and allow us to enjoy our chairs for another 20 years. One last note, be sure to use alcohol wipes before applying, and secondly, round off the four corners to prevent lifting.
