Don't buy the standard shoe if you have a wide foot. I'm a size 12/4E but need more space in the tow box due to an injury. The new walkers are marked 5E (XX width) but I have fitted the insole to my 2E Hoka Bondi 6 insole and size 1 is 4 inches smaller (D). I've tried three different Proēt shoes and a few New Balance xx-wide models and they're all labeled D-width and 5E. So here's a tip for my wide foot friends (I was told by a podiatrist) Remove the insole from the shoe (if it's removable) Place it on the floor (a clean hard surface, not carpet) Step with the Heel to the insole 1/8 inch forward. (mimic position in shoes) No part of the foot should protrude beyond the insole. If it's true Your shoe is too small. You can also find that the place where it hangs? That's where your feet hurt.
