SSD speed is inconsistent and sometimes slow

I've never heard of Trigkey, they don't seem to work well when it comes to mini PCs. They only have two models on their website and this is one of them. The body of this mini PC is very similar to what I've seen on Beelink products (the only difference is the air vents on the side and the presence of two LAN ports). This is your base Celeron J4125 (base frequency 2.0 GHz). ) mini computer with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, Sata-based M.2 SSD. It works like any other mini PC with this processor, fast enough for basic tasks but not fast enough for more demanding workflows. This is what you get when you need a basic computer for web surfing and office uses. It can also be used as a media streaming device as well as in other cases that don't require much processing power. 2x Gigabit Ethernet gives it an advantage over similar models with only 1x port and enables the use of certain network functions. One thing I noticed is that this computer doesn't have a TPM, which means it can't officially support Windows 11 and other things that require it. Another negative point I found is the save speed, it's inconsistent and pretty slow in half the time. For example, slower than eMMC and MUCH slower than normal SATA SSD speeds (216MB read/139MB write was the maximum sequential speed). I ran the speed test again and sometimes got the expected 500MB+ read/write, and sometimes it was slow again. It runs on Windows 10 Pro, so you can take advantage of this OS version. So you end up with a product that is just one of MANY on the market, but you end up worse off than the competition because the components don't always work as well as most of the competition. It would be a good enough product if it were in a vacuum where other mini PCs didn't exist, but given the slow storage and lack of a TPM it really isn't a fair deal. You can get these features on computers with the same chip, sometimes for less than what they're asking for here. Pros + Rugged exterior design 2 Gigabit Ethernet J4125 ports plus 8GB RAM is as good as it gets under $300. Cons - SATA SSD speeds are inconsistent, sometimes speeds are normal and other times slow

Pros
  • Like everything so far
Cons
  • Not everything fits
