Great price if you insist on Canon ink

I have two Canon printers, i960 and i9900. Both use BCI-6 ink carts. We have been using these printers for 4-5 years and have had great results. The i960 is a photo printer but does not include the red and green inks that the i9900 uses. We use the i960 for general purpose and color printing. For my professional work, I only use the i9900 with Canon inks. I had to replace the printhead last year, but it only cost me about $85. I have NEVER had problems with printers getting clogged, even after not using them for weeks. The reason I like these printers so much is that you have some flexibility when refilling ink cartridges. I bought a refill set from Sam's Club a few years ago (haven't found any lately). Canon cartridges are designed to be fairly easy to refill with third party inks once you get the hang of it. Refueling is nonsense. You can damage the printhead with poor quality ink and your color may not be the most accurate. I don't encourage my friends to refill them, but we saved a lot of money using i960 ink. The i9900 is a different matter. This is a professional quality printer and I just don't want to mess with it and third party inks. So I stick with Canon inks and Revain is usually the only place I buy my cartridges from. Buying in sets of 6 and 8 is cheapest. If you can get them for $9 or less, that's a good buy. Upgrade Tip: For several years I would take my empty BCI-6 cartridges to Staples where they would give you $2 per cartridge (up to $20). . When you receive a rewards coupon, you can use it at Staples to purchase one of their products. We usually get several packs of Keurig coffee. So essentially you can deduct $2 off the price you pay for a cartridge when you take advantage of this recycle/reward program.
