I used this in my glove box to install two 12v power connectors. I connected one to turn the ignition on and off and it powers my dashcam. All DVR wiring is hidden behind panels and the dashboard. I connected another wire to a fuse so it's always on. This gives us a socket to charge our phone when parked somewhere and it can be locked in the glove compartment. Also well suited for GMRS use on the trails. The two 12v sockets were quite snug inside but fit very well, not too much space, nor was it a lot of effort to fit anything. Placement was somewhat dictated to us - we already had a hole in the glove box from a previously installed outlet that we moved to this unit. We simply ran wires through this hole.
