I bought a 20 inch model with a face value of 33 pounds. I connected it to my project and it worked great. I went to bed, got up the next morning and it didn't work at all. The actuator didn't even try to move when I activated it. I used my multimeter to check the power supply and controller. They seemed to work correctly. I emailed Progressive Automations (PA) because it was a Saturday and they don't service their phones on weekends. They didn't email me within three business days so I ordered a replacement through Revain. called the polyclinic to make sure I didn't make a mistake when hiring. I was right. I was fine. But they told me that this device cannot work because the limit switches tend to stick, especially when the drive is not working. t less than 50% of full rated load and sometimes by design. If internal components are damaged, lubricant can enter the transmission and affect its operation. They told me to tap the ends of the actuator to disconnect the limit switches or wait a while for the grease to settle and try again. I plugged in a new one, made sure it was at least 50% charged and also checked that it would stop before retracting to 100% and activating the limit switch. It worked great. I went downstairs for lunch and returned upstairs a few hours later and the new drive didn't respond as well as the first. I tried every trick the PA told me. Nothing. I called her back. They ran, they thought, the same exercise. When I told them none of this worked, they told me I just had to replace it under warranty. I don't exchange it. I'm sending it back for a full refund. I very much doubt I will buy more of their products. If they sell a model even though it has a few known flaws, I don't think I can trust any of their products.
